How joining a game works+
Pick a game, press Join, and you are in. If the game still needs players it is "forming" — you will get a message the moment it is confirmed, and another before kick-off. If it never fills, PLYR cancels it and tells you straight away. You are never left guessing.
What happens if a game does not fill+
PLYR tries to save it first: the game is offered to PLYRs who said they are free at that time, and to anyone on the waiting list. If there are still not enough players by the cut-off, the game is cancelled, everyone is told, and you are shown other games at a similar time. Nothing is charged for a cancelled game.
Waiting lists and standby+
If a game is full you can join the waiting list. If someone drops out, the top of the list gets the spot automatically. You can also set a standing request — the days, times and sports that suit you — and PLYR brings matching games to you instead of you hunting for them.
I cannot make it any more+
Withdraw from the game page as early as you can. Early withdrawals free the spot for someone on the waiting list and do not count against you. Repeatedly not turning up without withdrawing does affect your reliability on your Passport.
What is KYP?+
KYP is Know Your PLYR — what you tell us about how you like to play. It is kept separate from what actually happens in your games. Your Passport only ever shows real activity: games you attended, sports you played, cities you played in. Nothing on it is invented or estimated.
Stars and rewards+
Stars come from turning up. You earn them when attendance for a completed game is confirmed — never for signing up, and never for intent. Rewards unlock from Stars you have actually earned.
Safety and reporting+
If something happens before, during or after a game, report it from the game page or send us a message from the help page. Safety reports jump the queue and are handled by a person, not automation. Serious reports can suspend an account while we look into it.
Hosting a game+
Anyone can host. The wizard asks for the sport, the kind of game, the place, the time and the number of spots, then PLYR handles filling it, reminding everyone and recording who turned up. You can hand a game to a co-host at any time.
Registering a venue+
Tell us about your pitch, court or table and we will list it. In cities that are not live yet, registering gets you into the founding venue programme and puts real supply behind the launch decision.
My city is not live yet+
Join the city. That single action is what decides launch order — the number of PLYRs waiting, in which sports and which areas, is the demand signal we use. You will be told the moment games start there, and you keep founding status.
Charges and refunds+
You are only ever charged for a game that is confirmed and goes ahead. Cancelled games are not charged. If you think something is wrong with a charge, message us from the help page and it goes straight to a person.
